House of Secrets is a musical layered with spoken word, songs, and instrumental pieces. The story is based upon the real-life experiences of Fatima, who attempts to navigate her childhood, courtship, marriage, and motherhood while completing a journey of the transient diaspora, in migration spurred by the start of the Bolshevik revolution.

Her life story begins in Krasnodar, Russia, in 1918. She finally emigrates to San Francisco, USA, in 1972. Fatima's story spans four continents over the course of fifty years, chronicling the struggle, sacrifice, and resilience of a woman who refuses to let familial strife, judgment, and war prevent her from doing all she can to preserve her love for her family, for her Adyghe/Circassian heritage, and for her homeland.
