Kid Thomas Band - At Preservation Hall (Live) (2026) [Hi-Res]

Recorded live on May 17, 1982, at New Orleans' Preservation Hall by Alan Lomax, this release features veteran trumpeter "Kid" Thomas Valentine and his ensemble performing traditional New Orleans jazz.

Valentine, known for his percussive trumpet style and use of Harmon mutes, performs alongside legendary figures of the revival scene, including Willie Humphrey on clarinet, Emanuel Sayles on banjo, Sing Miller on piano, and Chester Zardis on double bass. The session captures the group's classic dance-hall drive and collective improvisation.

Restored by Jessica Thompson from source tapes, this 2026 release makes these unreleased multi-track live field recordings available as a standalone digital album.
