Pure Reason Revolution feat. Annicke Shireen - Terrifying Angels (2026) [Hi-Res]

British progressive rock project Pure Reason Revolution has delivered their new full-length record Terrifying Angels, released via InsideOut Music. Rooted in the concept of traditional, overwhelming, and formidable angelic figures, the album marks a sonic shift toward a darker, heavier, and more aggressive territory compared to their previous introspective release Coming Up to Consciousness. Musically, the seven tracks pair crushing riffs, ominous atmospheres, and grunge textures with the band's signature multi-layered vocal harmonies.

The creative process involved an expanded roster of collaborators: core member Jon Courtney worked alongside founding guitarist Greg Jong, Paul Mullen of Losers and Yourcodenameis:milo, and Kenny Fitzgerald. Powerful performances were delivered by vocalist Annicke Shireen and drummer Ravi Kesavaram, with guest bass contributions from Mariusz Duda of Lunatic Soul and Kristoffer Gildenlöw. Mixed by The Pineapple Thief leader Bruce Soord, the record conceptually explores the destructive and redemptive dualities of personal transformation.
