Radio Noisz Ensemble - Yniverze (1982)

Yniverze (1982) is a hidden gem of the German avant-garde underground of the early 1980s, released at the intersection of the late wave of krautrock, the European Rock in Opposition (RIO) movement, and the dark post-punk aesthetic of Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW). The German collective Radio Noisz Ensemble created a unique sonic artifact in which traditional folk acoustic instruments intertwine with dry, mechanical rhythms and hypnotic guitar-keyboard dissonances. The album is a dark, almost ritualistic suite, balancing between archaic medieval acoustics and cold industrial futurism.
