Murple - Quadri Di Un'Esposizione (2008)

Quadri Di Un'Esposizione (2008) is a monumental reunion and the second studio album by the Roman band Murple, who released the iconic RPI album Zess in 1974. Thirty-four years later, the original members (keyboardist Pirpaolo Zazza and bassist Mario Pirrone) have reformed and presented their own, deeply Italian reimagining of Modest Mussorgsky's celebrated suite Pictures at an Exhibition. Unlike the celebrated adaptation by Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1971), Murple approach the classic material with RPI's signature symphonic quality, rich vocal polyphony, and theatrical drama, fusing 19th-century romanticism with a vintage analog prog sound.
