Cinder Well - Small Prophets (Original Soundtrack) (2026) [Hi-Res]

Small Prophets (Original Soundtrack) collects Amelia Baker's score for the BBC Two comedy drama written and directed by Mackenzie Crook, which aired in February 2026. The series follows Michael Sleep, who sets out to grow prophesying homunculi after his partner disappeared seven years earlier. Baker records as Cinder Well and is based in Los Angeles.

Crook approached her by email as he moved into production. He has said her music had been the soundtrack to his life for five years and fed into the show's tone. The theme, "The Wise Man's Song," came out as a single in February 2026. It was cut at Hen House Studios in Venice Beach with Greg Cohen on upright bass and Mat Ball of BIG|BRAVE on drums, produced and engineered by Harlan Steinberger.

The full score was produced by Steinberger and Cinder Well at the same studio. Steve Roach contributes synthesizers that shaped the sound world of the homunculi, and Cohen plays bass on the theme and several cues. The album closes with a phone-recorded demo of the theme that Baker sent to Crook.

It arrives digitally via Bucks Records on 2 October 2026, with a vinyl edition through Hen House Studios, and opens Cinder Well's UK and Ireland tour.
