Jesper Hertz Trio - U7 on Time (2026) [Hi-Res]

Danish pianist Jesper Hertz, German bassist Nesin Howhannesijan and Italian drummer Andrea Marcelli have joined forces as the Jesper Hertz Trio and released the album U7 On Time. It grew out of a long-distance friendship: after touring together, it became clear that the trio needed to record and release their music. All the compositions were written by Hertz and mostly reflect his thoughts and reactions while walking around Berlin. The result is a blend of the creative contributions of three musicians, who turn from separate individuals into a single artistic unit.

Besides several jazz projects, Hertz writes film scores, has toured Denmark and abroad, and has played with prominent Danish artists. Howhannesijan is a busy Berlin jazz bassist who has released albums as a leader and taken part in various projects as a sideman. Marcelli is a drummer constantly on the move: he lived in the USA for years and played with Wayne Shorter, Eddie Gomez, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, Alan Pasqua and others. Together they combine years of experience and inspiration into a sound that is distinctly their own.
