Riddle - Riddle (2005)

A hidden gem from the Italian progressive scene, Riddle's self-titled debut delivers an electrifying instrumental journey that echoes the complexity and fire of modern King Crimson. That connection is no coincidence—guitarist Jacopo Bertacco, a key member of The League of Crafty Guitarists, leads the charge with intricate, Frippian stylings that weave through every track.

While King Crimson is the most immediate touchpoint, Riddle also draws on Brian Eno’s ambient soundscapes and the atmospheric flow of the Canterbury scene, offering a sophisticated, modern prog sound that’s both cerebral and emotionally engaging.
