Lifting Line Theory - Within A Dream (2026) Hi-Res

Lifting Line Theory emerged from tragedy (Carroll's co-writer died due to a drunk driver), which is why the theme of overcoming pain has always been strong in their music. The release "Within A Dream" expands on the ideas of their albums "Wonder" (2025) and "The Last Goodbye" (2026), moving into more cinematic, expansive musical forms. Chris Carroll, as usual, handled all the instrumentation (guitars, keyboards, bass, drums), providing a dense, multi-layered, yet breathable sound.
The release's title and tracklist allude to the concept of dreams, the search for awareness, and the acceptance of loss. On the album, the band finally abandons the usual radio format: the tracklist consists of only five large-scale epic compositions, two of which last about 12 and 20 minutes respectively, smoothly flowing from gentle acoustic passages into dense, weighted guitar sections.
