rguably the biggest '90s rock act in the country... MOKSHA was a classic rock band formed in 1995.

They say first impressions last forever, and that is exactly what happened. For the next two years, MOKSHA spread its magical mayhem through every major college and semi-professional competition in sight, standing second to none, in all of them. MOKSHA then went professional, touring India. MOKSHA went on to become one of the top 10 Indian rock bands during its existence between 1995 and 2006.

MOKSHA was the only Asian band to be featured on an Iron Maiden tribute album, followed by a tribute album to Metallica, which featured two of MOKSHA’s original tracks. The band was interviewed live on radio in the UK, and requests for articles and press releases followed. A video of their ballad ‘Stay’ was aired on MTV.

The band was all set to go international with recording deals and more, when tragedy struck. Leon, then lead singer, tragically passed away in 2006, from a massive cardiac arrest. With heavy hearts, the band members disbanded and each of them continued their journey across the globe.

In 2007, when Iron Maiden performed for the first time in India, in Bangalore, Bruce Dickinson dedicated a song, in memory of Leon.

2016, was the 10th death anniversary of MOKSHA's singer Leon Ireland and MOKSHA had a reunion concert in Chennai. Band members flew in from across the globe to reunite and perform at the tribute concert. MOKSHA released a Limited Anniversary Edition EP with six original songs.

Now, Moksha reunites to recreate history! On December 15th, MOKSHA plans to officially launch their album, including some incredible unreleased material that was made with the original lineup which includes the massive voice of Leon.
