The Moody Blues classic 1967 album Days Of Future Passed is regarded as one of the foundation stones of the progressive rock genre. In 2017, the band headed out on the album's 50th Anniversary Tour including the wonderful show captured at the Sony Centre For The Performing Arts in Toronto accompanied by a full orchestra. The concert begins with the band by themselves performing a selection of classic Moody Blues tracks before they are joined by the orchestra to perform Days Of Future Passed in its entirety plus a couple of fantastic encore tracks. This is without doubt the definitive live version of this much loved album and will be treasured by fans of The Moody Blues for years to come.

I love these guys ! The Moody Blues is one of all-time great progressive rock bands. The only one of them who died is Ray Thomas and that was just in January 2018. Ray knew that they were just inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well.

My only complaint is that they haven't released a new studio album in many years. "Strange Days" in 1996 was a disappointment and their last "original" CD in 2003 was just a bunch of Christmas songs. Talented songwriters sometimes run short on originality in their old age -- Rod Stewart and Ray Davies included. But eventually they come back and blow your chimichangas off!

@Executive - Couldn't agree MORE! Of all the nearly-hundred concerts I've seen over the years (Yes, Rush, Tom Petty, Lyle Lovett, etc) - all great - I think the Moody Blues blew EVERYBODY out. Saw 'em on the '81 Long Distance Voyager tour and again in '85 with possibly THE weirdest line-up I've ever seen at a July 4th bash (not promoting anything current, just touring) - they closed out a show: The Fixx (love them too) opening, the Beach Boys (never a huge fan) and the Moodies closing - and they kicked the sh*t out of everyone that night. RIP Ray Thomas and it's about D*MN TIME they got into the Hall Of Shame - all the MEDIOCRITIES get in first and Yes, Rush & these guys have to wait til half the members are DEAD (the mighty Chris Squire, Ray Thomas).
