Ian Paice and Forever Deep - Made in Verona: The Italian Deep Purple Tribute (2010)

This cd is actually a live cd of Deep Purple's tribute band Forever deep WITH Ian PAice on the drums. The cover is the same as the remastered version of Made in Japan (the title here being Made in Verona) and the songs on the cd are: Highway star; Strange kind of woman; When a blindman cries; Lazy; The mule; Child in time; Woman from Tokyo; Smoke on the water and Black night. The sound of the recording is very good and so is the performance, guessing those guys probably aren't pros. The solos are very close to the Made in Japan versions, which defeats the original purpose of the improvisations and shows that the musicians probably don't have an extra lot of ideas of their own, but hey, this is a tribute band!
