Silian Wong - Insomnia (2018)

Insomnia had been a problem of mine since my teens. Depression, racing thoughts, feelings of not belonging had tortured me for over 10 years. The sense of anger and helplessness forced me to reject my inner self and led to a negative attitude towards the outside world. Problem wasn’t solved until awakening happened 3 years ago. It was a sudden shock, and hence the big urge to compose and produce this EP, Insomnia, to record my experience.

My awakening shifted my focus back to connecting myself with nature, in both daytime and nighttime. All of natures’ sounds, colours, smells, touch and vibe, are the best treasures we all have access to. They guided me to slowly walk towards my soul; reconnect, heal, meditate, and project myself out again in a completely brand new form. Thank you.

This EP contains 7 tracks, from dark gloomy afternoon to mysterious midnight, and then leads to a refreshing morning. Journey, Track 7, wraps up the whole spiritual night. Phyiscal CD contains a labyrinth in the booklet. You are encouraged to play and discover your own journey while listening to the songs.
