Negativ Dekadent - Noise As Value (2018)

If you’ve been fortunate enough to encounter Negative Dekadent’s music over the years, you’ll know all too well that he’s a man who values an eclectic approach. One half of the brains behind the vehemently underground and always-intriguing Destroy All Monsters label, his is a way of working that’s endeared him to many folk with a similar ear for unlikely soundscapes. On his debut album, the exceptional ‘Noise As Value’, he provides the listener with a tantalising reminder of his many talents, as befitting the album’s uncompromising attitude and political aesthetic.

Spread over 9 tracks, the LP is every bit as eclectic as you might imagine, with everything from abrasive techno to more melodic fare working its way into the equation. Kicking off with the provocatively-titled ‘I Don’t Give A Fuck For Your Peace’, the producer instantly lets us know that this is not an album that’s lacking in personality.
