Kihong Jang has made a name himself as a swing-ful guitarist who is frequently called upon by musicians and arrangers to be a featured soloist and rhythm section. After Kihong finished his military service in the army band, he started working with an international jazz pianist Jinjoo Yoo's Trio. He has been featured as a guest artist in numerous concerts including (Greece), (New York) to name but a few. After Kihong moved to New York in 2015, he has been a staple of New York jazz scene, sharing stages with jazz veterans as well as internationally touring musicians, such as Neal Miner, Jimmy Wormworth, Jinjoo Yoo, Dustin Kiselbach, Robin Daniel Grasso, Anna Kolchina, Samuel Martinelli, and Doron Tirosh.
As a leader of his own trio, Kihong has played at prestigious venues in the city including Caffe Vivaldi, Shapeshifter Lab, Shrine, Hotel Stanford. In Europe tour with Jinjoo Yoo's band, he participated in PJF Club Concert at GROOVE, promoted and hosted by Pozzuoli jazz festival, one of the best jazz festivals in Naples, Italy.
He won a prize in 2018 International Baku jazz competition.
