Poznan Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra - Pjpo Plays Weezdob (2018)

PJPO plays WEEZDOB is an album presenting the music of Weezdob Collective band in jazz orchestra arrangements by Poznan Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra. The album was released to celebrate Weezdob Collective 5th anniversary. The band’s musicians are also core members of the Poznan Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra. None of the pieces included in the album had ever been performed in jazz orchestra arrangements before. Young talented artists who are part of the PJPO have been invited to take part in the project. Orchestral arrangements were done by young composers Kuba Marciniak, Tomasz Citak, Adam Zagórski, Kacper Smoliński and Piotr Scholz (founder and leander of PJPOrchestra). WeezArt foundation thanks everyone involved in the project including the artists, family and friends for their invaluable help. The project was completed thanks to “Młoda Polska” scholarship from Minister of Culture and National Heritage and subsidised by the City of Poznań.
