It was at the famous Paris jazz club, the Sunset, in the 1990s that this trio of influential figures of European jazz was born with the French organist Emmanuel Bex, the Italian drummer Aldo Romano and the Belgian guitarist Philip Catherine. If they find themselves episodically since 20 years, no recording had until then immortalized their musical complicity, (except a short passage on Bex 3, the album Pee Wee of 1998). It's done with an album produced by Sunset Records, the label created by the boss of Sunset-Sunside, Stéphane Portet, which highlights the musical, friendly and historical adventures.
Everyone is leader and sideman of many formations. It is the love of jazz that brings together the three friends who each have the art of harmony and a subtle and inspired game.
"It's been 20 years since we started playing together, 20 years that the music of the trio matures, we took our time, it was the good moment to record it, the beautiful moment to share it, the most widely ... Long live this artistic adventure! " Emmanuel Bex
"Organ, guitar, drums, a tradition in jazz, a sound inherited from the gospel Here, under the modernity of the subject, we hear the soul of this tradition.I am grateful and proud of this album". Aldo Romano
