Mauj Maharaja - Phir Se (2017) [Hi-Res]

Mauj Maharaja is a project started by cousins Aalok Padhye and Tanmay Bhattacherjee in 2015. The duo, having trained in Afro-Cuban music and Jazz, write and produce original Hindi music.
They met Vishrut Sinha in 2016, a classically trained singer and lyricist, who contrasted their musical sensibilities due to his background in Hindi film music from the ‘60s and ‘70s, thus creating a unique songwriting partnership for 'Phir Se', the band’s debut full length album.
‘Phir Se’ features Aalok Padhye on Percussion, Tanmay Bhattacherjee on Bass, Apurv Isaac aka Lala on Electric Guitar, Nirmit Shah on Piano, Fender Rhodes and Keyboards, Jehangir Jehangir on Drums and Vishrut Sinha on Vocals.
The music mixes Afro Cuban groove, Jazz harmony, and the songwriting aesthetic and melodies of '60s and '70s Hindi film music
