Simon Zöchbauer & Koehne Quartett - Achad (2019)

The trumpet player, zither player and composer Simon Zöchbauer, known as one of the heads of Europe-wide demanded ensemble Federspiel presents his first solo album. Achad is said to be Hebrew and means one, but in the broader sense also unity, wholeness or oneness. Achad what a beautiful title for a touching musical sense and self-search, on which accompany the famous Koehne Quartet and producer and electronic engineer Sixtus Preiss the composer. Before all our ears the big questions of origin, instant state and the big picture are raised. Or, to say it with the poet Hans Magnus Enzensberger: It's about the beginning and the end / and the few minutes in between. Apart from that: string quartet with trumpet, that sounds amazingly good!
