Raphael Walsers GangArt - Zwischen Grund und Grat (2019)

From birth on he has daily music in his ears, mostly classical music and folk music. At the age of 4, he begins piano lessons, about which he finds folk music, blues and ragtime. From 1999 he received double bass lessons, first classically and later at the general department of the jazz school in Zurich, where he is prepared by Christoph Sprenger for jazz studies. From 2008 to 2013, Raphael studied at the Jazz Department of the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK with Rätus Flisch, Dominique Girod and Christoph Grab. With Christian Weber, Frank Sanderell, Larry Grenadier and mainly Bänz Oester he attends external lessons. He completed his studies focusing on pedagogy in 2013 with top marks in the performance subjects. Raphael Walser's GangArt released their second album entitled "Zwischen Grund und Grat" on the label QFTF.
