The Orchestre d’Auvergne will offer in 2019 a selection of recordings of concerts recorded live at the Opera-Theatre in Clermont-Ferrand, or on tour, under the direction of Roberto Forés Veses, its musical director, with soloists such as Sergey Krylov, Robert Levin or Thomas Zehetmair. Music lovers can relive the emotion of the concert or discover these live performances.

The first release will be Beethoven 7th symphony Opus 92, recorded at Clermont-Ferrand Opera-Theatre on October 4 2018, with precisely the same sized orchestra that Beethoven would have used.

The Orchestre d’Auvergne is known abroad as the French chamber orchestra. It is widely recognized internationally for its musical and artistic quality, nurturing the musical aspirations of its members and receiving warm public acclaim.

The professionnal and musical commitment of its 21 permanent string players and their successive musical directors Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Arie van Beek and Roberto Forés-Veses, spanning over 35 years, has led to innumerable concert tours and a large and varied recording catalogue. However, the orchestra is firmly implanted in the Auvergne and its capital Clermont-Ferrand, being acclaimed by audiences, media and cultural representatives.

The orchestra also assumes an important educative role, sowing the seeds of a deeper comprehension and personal reaction to « classical » music, and reaching out to a widely diversified public.

Roberto Forés-Veses, Musical and Artistic Director since 2012, develops an artistic project having strong local roots as well as a high international musical reputation.
