The Naïma Quartet is a formation born in 2016 at the initiative of the bassist Naïma Girou. Rocked by the great jazz, she creates a rich formation of their influences, serving his own universe. She gathered around her a team of talented musicians.
She calls on John Owens, Irish guitarist with whom she has worked for several years, and Jules Le Risbé, pianist but also organist. Finally, she meets the drummer Thomas Doméné who becomes his rhythmic duo.

Together they explore, compose and arrange in their own way a multi-faceted jazz repertoire. Betty Carter, John Coltrane, Abbey Lincoln, Horace Silver and Sarah Vaughan are all artists that inspire them.
After a first prize at the Crest Jazz Vocal competition and the public's prize, they released their first album Sea Of Red in December 2018 and unveiled their first compositions.
