Known mainly as the brain behind the breakout big band Big Heart Machine, saxophonist and composer Brian Krock sophomore effort "LIDDLE" is something entirely different. "LIDDLE" introduces Krock's band of the same name, a working quintet of iconoclastic improvisers Matt Mitchell (piano), Olli Hirvonen (guitar), Marty Kenney (bass), and Nathan Ellman-Bell (drum set). The five musicians navigate Krock's original compositions, which the New York Times describes as, "musicly, warped original music, informed by metal, serialism and the jazz avant-garde."
