Rogelio Sosa is a Mexican composer and sound artist. His musical proposal is a fusion of experimental music and sound art, inspired by the work of musicians such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Kevin Drumm, David Maranha, Toshimaru Nakamura, among others.
The artist will release his LP, Eclíptica, on May 16 through Subtraction. The 12 songs that make up this musical project were produced especially from sounds generated with a modular matrix of guitar pedals that, connected in a closed circuit, generate a signal in response.
Rogelio Sosa divided his album into two volumes because each one reflects a particular idea. The first is inspired by the nigromacia - communication with deceased people - and in the shamanic trance.
Volume 2 refers to rituals that alter the celestial order. With this concept, the composer invites the listener to enter an unknown world full of mythology, nature and invisible energies.
On May 17, Rogelio Sosa will present Ecliptic live at Ex Teresa Arte Actual, an event that will feature the special participation of Mexican Milo Tamez and Australian Judith Hamann.
