Mary Rodgers - To the Ghost of Mary Rodgers (2019)

Mary Rodgers is a Milwaukee born and Nashville based musician. As a multi-instrumentalist, she has made a living as a side person. You may have seen or heard her playing Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Flute, Accordion or Piano. “To The Ghost of Mary Rodgers...” is her breakout album as a band leader and vocalist. Hailing from the “Dead Man’s Carnival”, Mary brings her circus experience to this album. These 15 tracks walk you through your own variety show experience. Starting with a powerful horn driven intro, the album then kicks into a story song setting the mood. As the album continues through time so do the genres. You’ll hear references to Classical, Ragtime, Jazz, RnB, Soul, and Latin Grooves. The album includes 3 mini tracks (Man of my Trapeze) representing a circus wagon taking you through time. The album finishes with a soothing lullaby.
