Andy Sherwood - Live at the Groton City Cabaret, Vol. 1 (2019)

This concert was recorded live at the Groton City Cabaret Series in Groton, Connecticut. Clarinetist Andy Sherwood swings along with Ian Frenkel on piano, Bryan Rizzuto on bass and Tom Briggs on drums. Andy has discovered the ultimate rhythm section for playing songs from the early years of jazz. These particular musical selections were written between the years 1917 to 1922. He has performed many of these selections on other recordings, but on this concert the band was playing at a particularly hight level. On Limehouse Blues, Andy performs on tenor saxophone.
