When singer/songwriter, Heather Renee, hired who she thought was an LA based instrumentalist from a freelance website, she had no idea that she would find her soul twin and future music partner. She first reached out to Jacob Miller, a cute red headed 20-something from LA, to record scratch instrumental tracks for her new album. But when she received the drafts they were nothing short of incredible. She became addicted to working with Jacob and found that every song seemed to cultivate a kindred musical vision. As the unlikely duo continued to work together, their text messages became more personal, sharing intimate details from their lives. Heather Renee learned that Jacob was not a ginger haired boy from the West coast, he was from China. What’s more, he wasn't even a guy! A surprise confession revealed that the mysterious musical soul twin was actually a strikingly gorgeous female living and working in China named Sonali Vij. Heather Renee had not been completely honest either. She had claimed to be living in Los Angeles, when in actuality she lives in Washington DC. So when Sonali confided to Heather that she was in the process of relocating to Washington DC to live with family and sad that the soul music twins would be so far apart, you can imagine her surprise to learn that Heather Renee was actually located in Washington DC. Talk about a small world. The artistic duo not only shares a deep passion for music, expertise with audio engineering and song writing, but both have Asian roots. Sonali is from India and Heather Renee is half Sri Lankan. Together the duo completed this full length album "Sending love your way," with songs and music written by Heather Renee, but co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Sonali. Sonali Vij plays most of the instruments on the entire album. The two have plans underway to complete another album in the coming months.
