Kate Baldwin demonstrates she is an intelligent and skilful singer of great songs in this case all penned by the sometimes underrated Sheldon Harnick. While she doesn't have the greatest voice in the latest crop of Broadway leading ladies she brings a keen talent to interpretation and shows a truly versatile sense of what makes a Broadway lyric really zing.

Her duets with the man himself are a surprising delight and just when you think you've got her measure, she astounds with a gutsy "Gorgeous" from the Apple Tree, one of Harnick's great moments of zany perfection.

A brilliant selection of some of the best of Broadway over the past 50 or so years paying tribute to one of the great lyricists of our time.
