Barry Good - Sendezeit (2019)

Lukas Schiemer, winner of the ORF - MundARTpop / rock competition Schnabl'2018 presents his second album on the Spielboden in Dornbirn and thus returns to his linguistic roots.

Play groove-oriented vocal jazz and mix the pieces with hip-hop and soul elements. Open arrangements audibly provide room for interpretation, improvisation, communication and fun. After a period of intensive touring travel (India, South / Central America, Africa, Indonesia, Europe and the Middle East), Lukas Schiemer breaks new ground with his quintet Barry Good and combines his music with social criticism and (environmental) political statements. The 10 tracks of the new album 'Airtime' (release: 18 Oct. 2019) impressively prove that jazz, spoken word and witty lyrics can not exclude each other but can complement each other perfectly. While BARRY GOOD is waiting for his airtime, he talks about problems of the cultural and consumer industry, about proletarians, other people and describes climate change from the point of view of the moon.
