The trio KAIROS celebrates the moment! The figure of Kairos embodies in Greek mythology a "decisive auspicious moment" that must be actively seized. A fitting credo for a band that lives by making music together in the here and now and allowing the audience to participate in this exciting process! In her compositions, KAIROS draw inspiration from the rich heritage of worldwide musical tradition - strong melodies meet subtle timbres and driving rhythms. The cello instead of the - in jazz usually usual - double bass is partly responsible for the lyrical and multi-faceted sound of the trio and opens up unexpected possibilities within the compact trio setting.
