London-based, Victorian punks, The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing will release their fourth album 'Double Negative' on March 9. The record, featuring 9 tracks of metal-tinged punk is released through the bands own Leather Apron label on CD and 'bone-white' vinyl. The quartet formed in 2008 and were quickly adopted by the burgeoning Steampunk scene, though subsequent records have seen them grow well beyond the brass goggles set. 'Double Negative' sees the band make their biggest step yet away from the 'novelty' tag which has followed them around for a decade. 'We wanted to create a short, angry album that emphasised our punk side and pushed our sound forward. We're pretty bloody happy with how it turned out. It's dark, savage, brutal and holds up the rotten corpse of Britain's past as a mirror to the sorry state of the present...and then rubs yer face in it so you won't do it again. The humour is still there, but it's dark and twisted- there's very little of the Music Hall influence we've touched on before. This is the first of a pair of albums, the next one will be expansive and elaborate, where this one is intentionally taut and abrasive.' The band was formed in 2008 by cult comedian Andrew O'Neill and former Creaming Jesus frontman Andy Heintz, later joined by bass player Marc Burrows and drummer Jez Miller. Over the last decade they have accumulated a devoted following all across the world, and gained a reputation as one of modern punk's most entertaining live bands. Their third album 'Not Your Typical Victorians' was released in 2015 to wide acclaim, winning best Album, Best Band and Best Frontman gongs at the Pure Rawk awards. 'Probably the maddest, most original punk band around'- Louder Than War 'Fiendishly entertaining... a taste worth acquiring' Terrorizer 'Coruscatingly loud and extremely funny'
