Doerell's compositions are based on “field recordings”, electronic noise loops and rhythmic fragments. Abstract electronic sounds also meet acoustic instruments. Self-made instruments, a bass Kalimba and a rubber band drum, take on a significant role in the creation process. An atmospherically dense music, temporal images from digital textures, basses and percussion and noisy shards of memory. Oliver Doerell has released 10 albums with various bands and projects (Dictaphone / SWOD / Cummi Flu / Raz ohara & the odd orchestra) and has played concerts around the world.
