Merging the normally disparate worlds of punishing heavy metal and Christian ideology, Phinehas are a Christian metal band based out of La Mirada, California. After making their full-length debut in 2010 with Thegodmachine, Phinehas set out on the road with a touring ethic almost as relentless as their intense sound. The band had a particularly busy release schedule in 2013, with the EP The Bridge Between arriving early in the year, followed by a second full-length, The Last Word Is Yours to Speak, in the summer. It proved to be a breakthrough for Phinehas, reaching number 41 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart and hitting the Heatseekers chart as well. A move to Warner-distributed Artery Records preceded 2015's Till the End, the band's third LP. Showing a softer side, Phinehas self-released the acoustic EP Fight Through the Night in 2016, then signed with metal-oriented Christian label Solid State Records for 2017's Dark Flag.
