Doctor Delta - Slow Dog Blues (2020)

Doctor Delta are project originated as a study and re-work of the early delta blues, wondering whether and how it is still possible to play the blues in the XXI century.

Doctor Delta has two faces: one examines some among the most popular and representative songs of this era, drawing from the repertoire of Charley Patton, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller, Jack Owens, paying attention to their similarities and differences, perusing this many-sided musical universe.
The second face of Doctor Delta, instead, looks forward to experimenting and composing new songs, trying to find the balance between the evolution of this same language and its transformation into something different.
