Garren - the new (normal) (2020)

While Compton is a known breeding ground for some of hip-hop’s greatest names of both the past and present, the southern Los Angeles city is also home to a host of unsuspecting talents on the R&B side of things and singer Garren is one of the products of the environment. After leaving a lasting impression through his appearance on the Effected album of fellow Los Angeles artist Cozz, Garren has now doubled down with an effort of his own in the form of his Normal EP.

“Of course, you can’t make the whole world normal,” Garren explains of the project’s purpose. “But I believe in it as one door at a time. I want to redefine that stigma of what we accept as ‘normal’”.
