The Frantics was formed in Billings, Montana, in 1965. Having recorded forty-five in 1966 (1000 copies were released), the guys went on a tour of the country. In 1968, they settled in Santa Fe (New Mexico). A good psychedelic album, Relax Your Mind, was recorded at Norman Petty’s studio in Clovis, which was never released on vinyl and only released on CD in 1994. The group then ended up in Colorado Springs and finally arrived in Los Angeles in 1969. The last letter “s” was removed from the name and the album “Conception” was recorded. In 1971, the Frantic group ceased to exist.
