Native Washingtonian and urban contemporary gospel artist Robert E. Person possesses one of the most captivating voices in the genre. His phenomenal vocal control, classical vocal training and love for classic hymns and Contemporary Gospel has placed the singer in a prestigious class of virtuoso artiste' earning him high respect from colleagues and fans.

Robert honed his musical craft at not only the prestigious Morehouse College, but also the University of the District of Columbia. Outside the classroom, he has worked with musical heavyweights that traverse genres, including Josh Groban, Alyson Williams, George Benson, Karen Clark Sheard, Kelly Price and J. Moss. Robert is a member of Holy Comforter-Saint Cyprian Catholic Church, where he serves with the music ministry under the direction of internationally renowned sacred music composer Kenneth W. Louis.

In 2012, Robert debuted to a sold-out performance at the famed Blues Alley, in Washington, DC. That same year, Robert was honored with two awards at The Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Awards held during the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference in Chesapeake, VA. He was voted Artist of the Year and awarded an exclusive distribution contract with Nashville-based New Day Christian Distributors. Additionally, Robert was honored with the Newsome Gospel Music Award for Male Vocalist of the Year and three D.M.V. Christian Music Awards. Robert followed his successful year with radio charting hits from SOUL SANCTUARY including “Someday We’ll All Be Free” and “Gotta Praise.” Robert also released one of his favorite classic hymns “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” which boasted an immaculate vocal arrangement and a visually stunning companion music video.

Robert has self-produced three impressive Gospel projects, The Call, Next Level and Soul Sanctuary – on his own music label REP Music. He recently returned to the studio to work on his new album LOVE DIVINE that will release this fall.
