Two years ago, The Wombats released their album called Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life which lived up to their expectations. Following this, the British trio goes into a rather vague status but nothing prevents the members of the group from emancipating themselves. This is the case of singer and guitarist Matthew Murphy who presents his solo side-project Love Fame Tragedy with his new EP called Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void.

As the title suggests, Love Fame Tragedy contains only five songs and is far removed from anything he has accomplished with The Wombats. Halfway between electro-rock and pop sensibility, the guitarist convinces with this universe which seems to him new that it is on "Riding A Wave" energetic and catchy detailing the ups and downs of a romantic relationship. There is also the relentless "Hardcore" inviting Maddi-Jean Waterhouse to speak, as well as the appearance of Jack River on the conclusion called "Multiply" (co-written by Dan Smith of Bastille). In between, we find "Body Parts" and "Please Don’t Murder Me (Part. 2)" showing all the possible fields that open up for Love Fame Tragedy with this chameleon universe that suits him like a glove.
