The Yaroslav Likhachev Quartet has existed since 2016 and presents the compositions of the band leader and tenor saxophonist - always located in the field of modern jazz, deeply rooted in the American jazz tradition. “Crumbling”, the work with artistic, musical “crumbs”, fragments, sometimes almost atomic creative particles within the musical cosmos of improvised music, is about the creative act of discovering new ways on the journey to an individual and inventive re-assembly of composition and structuring steps. Each piece of Yaroslav Likhachev's production "Crumbling" appears as a self-contained musical world: echoes from the universe of new music, underground culture and modern jazz meet here in colorful contrast and encounter variations of the bop vocabulary and its contemporary interpretation. Yaroslav Likhachev says: “The 'crumbling process' is unstoppable and continues to develop. This album is also just a photo, a situational excerpt from the overall process. "
