Sheryl Crow has only been around since 1993, when she made her triumphant debut, but Live From Central Park is still a welcome opportunity to revisit her already bulging back catalogue. The quality of the songs ("All I Wanna Do", "Leaving Las Vegas", "A Change Would Do You Good", "Everyday Is A Winding Road") is assured. Moreover, the calibre of the special guests who joined Sheryl in Central Park in September 1999 (Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Nicks, Dixie Chicks) ensures that this is a well-above-average live souvenir. Keith Richards ("it's great to be here; it's great to be anywhere!") chips in with one of Sheryl's favourite Stones songs, "Happy"; while Eric Clapton helps out on a gutsy "White Room". Crow closes the album alongside Keith and the Chicks, with Bob Dylan's boisterous "Tombstone Blues". This is that rare thing: a live album that goes some way towards replicating the special nature of a concert. Patrick Humphries
