Maestro Billy Overton - Faith of Steel (1998)

Maestro Billy Overton is a retired military musician with 21 years of combined honorable active duty service. He served as a trumpeter in the United States Air Force Band and a steel drummer in the U. S. Navy Steel Band. Maestro is an Armed Forces School of Music graduate. He has toured throughout the United States, Africa, South America, and the West Indies.
Billy has a heavy mantle to Minister God’s Word through music. He ministers on a steel pan.The steel pan is an instrument that is hand made and constructed from a 55 gallon oil barrel.
Maestro Billy Overton is a skillful instrumentalist. He has been featured on ABC Radio Network, Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards, Gospel Music Workshop of America, and Bobby Jones Gospel. He has opened for Shirley Caesar, Byron Cage, John P. Kee, and Donald Lawrence & the Tri-City Singers. Billy was a special musical guest at West Angeles Church Of God In Christ honoring the military and fireman of September 911. Maestro is a senior at Louisiana State University (LSU) majoring in English creative writing. He’s currently working on his novel and continues to tour as an recording artist.
