Batuk's debut album, Musica da Terra, is a brave, genre-defying album, featuring the collective, seamlessly expressing a variety of influences from zouk, afro/tribal house, soul, techno and traditional African music. Batuk represents the youth of Africa, global in mindset, yet proudly routed in all the magic that makes the mother-continent so electrifying.

Musica da Terra was recorded in Johannesburg and George (South Africa), Kampala (Uganda) and Inhambane (Mozambique). The album features collaborations with a variety of artists from the different countries: such as Nandi Ndlovu from South Africa; Grupo Zore and Grupo Makarita from Mozambique; Giovanni Kiyingi, Annet Nandujja, Lebon and Nilotica from Uganda.
