VA - The Concert - 20 Years Skip Records Live At Laeiszhalle Hamburg (2020) Hi-Res

It started on September 21st at 7 p.m .: Skip Records' concert of several hours in Hamburg's Laeiszhalle, which was to release musicians and audiences into the night with a happy smile. An evening with magic. 20 years of Skip Records - an occasion to celebrate. In concert: 18 artists from all over the world, who offer a wide variety of styles. Behind the Hamburg record label are Sabine Bachmann and Bernd Skibbe, who accompany every release from their company with heart and soul. They were the initiators of this exhibition with all the artists that the label made known. And they also took over the moderation that evening with some interesting background stories. The Tingvall Trio, Omar Sosa, the Emil Brandqvist Trio, Tony Lakatos, Giovanni Weiss, Nina Attal, Caro Josée, Joo Kraus and Ingolf Burkhardt performed among others. Seven Echo Jazz award winners were on the stage one after the other and sometimes together. An evening with plenty of scope for improvisation, with planned and unplanned moments, with spontaneous encounters. This was a logistical challenge for the two makers, because they had to deal with many surprises in advance - from changes in the musicians' short-term arrival to delayed rehearsal times and sound checks in the Hamburg Laeiszhalle.
