The group Vitesse was started by Herman Van Boeyen and Herman Brood, who were friends, in 1975. After the first album Herman Brood left the band in 1976.
Since then the band has known many different casts, build around Herman van Boeyen. The last succesful album of the band was released in 1985. Herman tried to keep the band alive, but in 1994, without any more hits, he stopped making music.
