We are so happy to release one album with Subhalakshmi and Sornalatha Akkarai’s eminent vocal music (you will find an album with their violin duet here) This one is recorded at Narada Gana Sabha, a venue that I have very strong memories of since the days of Swamy Haridhos. This also was the first December season that old friend R. Krishnaswamy was not there. The concert is wonderful, that Sornalatha was suffering from a slight cold doesn’t take anything away and the great accompanying artists sure help making it a wonderful evening. The digital world is very convenient for Karnatic music as it makes it possible to include full two-and-a-half-hour concerts in one album.
