Ju Ca - Overture (2017)

Overture is the debut album from ju ca. The album is an assemblage of field recordings, software and synthesis manipulated in a way that aims to centralise on themes of spatial awareness and reproduction.

The complexity of exchange as well as how we perceive it remains encoded into the algorithms of purely digital conversation. Where importance only becomes visible in the presence of another, particular forms that may begin as concatenations are randomly sourced, reflecting on the internal struggle of digital symbiosis. Distinct character moves through compounding effects of shared information and much like the musical quality of a foreign language — miniatures and fragments form deeply personal arrangements — ornate and impressionistic of the listener.
