Kammerkoret Gneis - URD (2020)

In this concert, the Chamber Choir performs GNEIS music based on Ruth Lillegraven's collection of poems URD. The music is a commissioned work from composer and organist Solveig Sørheim.

The work revolves around the life of seamstress Seselja. It promotes female voices and western Norwegian culture, and is based on folk music and improvisation. Here, then, are old traditions in an experimental form - just as in Lillegraven's poetry.

The concert is arranged in collaboration with the Norwegian Knitwear Museum. The project and the concert are supported by Bergen municipality.
