Klique was an R&B trio from Los Angeles, California that consisted of Isaac Suthers and his sister, Deborah Hunter and Howard Huntsberry. Isaac Suthers used to sing in nightclubs around the Los Angeles area and later he and Deborah got together and decided to form a group. After auditioning people, Howard Huntsberry became involved in the group and Klique was born. MCA Records signed the group in the early 80’s and released in total 4 albums.

In 1981 Klique released their debut album, "It's Winning Time" which peaked at #40 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart. The first single, "Love's Dance" peaked at #24 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 15 weeks. The follow-up single, "Middle of a Slow Dance" peaked at #45 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 9 weeks. In 1982, the trio released their sophomore album, "Let's Wear It Out" (also re-issued on CD by PTG Records) which didn't appear to make the Billboard album charts. The first single, "Dance Like Crazy" peaked at #39 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 10 weeks. The second single from the album, "I Can't Shake This Feeling" peaked at #47 on Billboard's Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 8 weeks.

In 1983, Klique released their third album, "Try It Out" peaked at #70 on the Billboard 200 and #11 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart. Klique's biggest hit to date, a cover version of Jackie Wilson's 1960 hit song "Stop Doggin' Me Around" peaked at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on Billboard's Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for a period of 24 weeks. The follow-up single "Flashback" peaked at #59 on Billboard's Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 9 weeks.
