Former James vocalist Tim Booth travels a mostly bombastic course on his
first solo effort.
In 2001, Tim Booth unexpectedly walked away from his former band James, shortly after selling over 1-million copies of a greatest hits album and landing the theme song to the film "American Pie" with "Laid." It takes a brave man to know when to call it quits in this business. It takes a braver man to start again. Is it any wonder Booth's solo debut radiates confidence, from the topless photo of his significant other on the cover to "Redneck," a song slamming old friends who lost his number after he lost his fan base.
