Sara Morgan is a performing singer/songwriter quickly making her name known throughout the Midwest and beyond. A true storyteller, Sara often brings her lyrics and music to the stage in songs she refers to as hybrid country; thought-provoking lyrics rich in substance, accompanied by music that blends a modern, contemporary country sound with echoes of the traditional, classic country she loves. Although her live performances contain a definite country flair, her songwriting catalog reaches across multiple genres. Sara writes and composes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from folk, Americana, bluegrass, and country, to rock, pop, and contemporary Christian. Her versatility as a singer/songwriter is as undeniable as her unique vocal sound. Sara sells out listening rooms, is a crowd favorite at song swaps and songwriter showcases, and is often asked to assist other songwriters with their work. She has opened for chart-topping country singer Chase Bryant, hit-makers LoCash, multi-Grammy and Dove award winner BJ Thomas, country superstar John Michael Montgomery, Michael Martin Murphey, Sex and the City heart throb John Corbett, Ben Taylor, Sean Rowe, singer/songwriter Ben Taylor, The Rainmakers, and can be found from time to time singing and playing with award-winning blues singer, Samantha Fish. . She was also the preshow act at the Industry Bar inside the Uptown Theater in Kansas City before her idol, Loretta Lynn, took the main stage. Sara has appeared on WDAF Fox TV, KCTV 5, and she has performed the National Anthem for the Missouri Mavericks hockey team; her songs get regular radio play on community radio station KKFI 90.1 FM in Kansas City and KMXN 92.9 "The Bull" in Lawrence, KS; she has been featured in the Kansas City Star and The Pitch news publications, and she records at Chapman Studios in Lenexa, Kansas. Sara resides in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
